MDHI Director of Program Management Roger O’Dell will speak on delivering multi-mission light scout attack helicopter solutions & rapid operational readiness
MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) is pleased to announce Roger O’Dell, Director of Program Management, will be a plenary speaker at the 2015 Combat Helicopter Conference (CH2015), Prague, Czech Republic, November 17-19, 2015. Mr. O’Dell will speak on issues related to multi-mission light scout helicopter solutions and delivering rapid operational readines during CH2015 Day Two sessions focused on “Training a force for the future”.
“The Combat Helicopter conference is a great forum in which Industry and the tri-services community can come together to discuss the future of rotorcraft in the face of ever-changing operational demands,” commented Roger, O’Dell, Director of Program Management for MD Helicopters. “I am honored to be invited to this event, and take the opportunity to share our experiences with delivering effective light scout attack helicopter solutions in real-time.”
As the timeframe between contract and delivery lengthens, and the field of operations and combat environments evolve, it is becoming increasingly common that original platform requirements change once an aircraft reaches theater. As a result, there is a real and compelling need for rotorcraft platforms to offer more in the way of:
- faster delivery,
- a wider range of capabilities to execute a broader set of mission profiles,
- improved operational readiness to support unpredictable demands, and
- quick and easy, in-country reconfiguration.
As an OEM, MD Helicopters has a proven history and demonstrable expertise in responding to requirements like these in real time, delivering mission-ready light scout attack helicopters with unmatched operational readiness rates, lower cost of operation, and a wider capability range than other OEMs.
“MD Helicopters has a long and storied history of delivering customized and flexible mission-ready solutions to U.S. and partner nation forces,” O’Dell continues. “We also have a product that is easy to fly, unparalleled for safety, and Industry partners who share our commitment to innovation and responsiveness. This combination makes us uniquely qualified to expedite the delivery of customized, mission critical rotorcraft solutions, and ensure the highest levels of operational readiness through coordinated combat logistics support and training.”
In addition to MD Helicopters’ expanding fleet with the Afghan Air Force, MDHI also has training, scout and light attack helicopters in service with Saudi Arabia, Japan, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Kenya, and others. These fleets are comprised of a number of MD Helicopters’ world-renowned light single-engine models including the MD 530F, MD 500E and MD 600N.
