MESA, ARIZONA: February 22, 2024 – MD Helicopters’ (MDH) dedication to customer input and its new Fielded Fleet Upgrade program will be front and center in booth #4022 at HAI HELI-EXPO 2024, February 27–29, 2024. MDH’s focus during the show is to highlight progress toward customer promises, share advancements in direct response to customer feedback that includes its new Fielded Fleet Upgrades program, and continue to gather insight from customers to drive its 2024 initiatives.
Featured Helicopters and Upgrades
MD Helicopters will feature four unique helicopters at HELI-EXPO 2024. California’s own Huntington Beach Police Department’s new custom-configured MD 530F in full law enforcement configuration will be in the booth representing the company’s large public safety customer base.
MDH’s Fielded Fleet Upgrades program will also be prominently featured with a Super D, a glass cockpit-equipped Super E, and a Super N. The Fielded Fleet Upgrades program provides aircraft owners with cost-effective, performance-enhancing airframe modifications that will include longer main and tail rotor blades, tail rotor gearbox extensions, longer tail rotor drive shafts, and/or engine upgrades, depending on the model.
The associated performance increases include almost 300 pounds of additional useful load on the Super D and Super E and significantly better hot/high hover performance on the Super N. All of these enhancements can be completed in the field by select MDH Authorized Service Centers or the MD Helicopters Factory in Mesa, AZ.
In response to customer input, MDH will showcase Airwolf Aerospace’s selected STC for the field-proven, TSO-certified True Blue Power® TB17 lithium-ion battery as a factory option for the MD 500E, MD 530F, and the AH530 models. This battery offers a 63% weight reduction and an average 8-year lifespan. Learn more in the MD Helicopters’ booth, #4022.
Customer Focus Surveys
MD Helicopters remains committed to performance and building customer trust, which it believes can be achieved only through listening to and making decisions based on customer input. To provide every customer the opportunity to weigh in on future initiatives from their helicopter manufacturer, MDH will host a number of customer focus survey kiosks in its booth throughout the show. Each operator who completes the survey will receive a $50 gift card as a thank you for their time and input.
